This is the first in our series of Q&A’s with London luminaries willing to share their tips & little secrets when it comes to all things London.
We thought the Tavistock Bow team could kick off proceedings by sharing theirs.
First up, Anne-Marie Murphy:
Director, Tavistock Bow
Timberyard, Upper St Martins Lane – great atmosphere and the cakes are far too tempting to pass on!
Monmouth Street for me has it all – lovely boutiques, cafes and the bar & restaurant at the Covent Garden Hotel are a nice place to hang out from time to time
Paul Smith on Floral Street – I love everything, its my go to place for family gifts.
Covent Garden Cocktail Club – This members bar is tucked away off the tourist trail, the mojitos are excellent…
Homeslice – amazing pizza and I love that you can just pop in for a quick slice.
Balthazar – I had a fantastic meal at the Manhattan restaurant a few years ago so was very excited when it came to Covent Garden.
Walking over Waterloo Bridge – best view in London.
Install air conditioning on the tube – I know its on it way but it can’t come soon enough
The convenience of having anything you desire on your doorstep
An apartment on King Street overlooking the Piazza would do nicely!
The walk over Waterloo Bridge, followed by lunch at National Portrait Gallery
Walk everywhere, like a proper Londoner
