The team at Tavistock Bow love to keep an eye on what’s hot each Christmas to make our homes feel super festive. We’ve teamed up with stylist extraordinaire and interiors specialist, Charlotte Boyd, to give you the lowdown on this year’s festive must haves to make your home truly sparkle…
The Tree:
Make your tree stand out from the rest this year
We love the minimalist scandi look; swap the traditional fir for a frosty looking paper birch tree, £125, from John Lewis, and decorate with simple glass baubles in red, white and charcoal, a perfect match for a modern apartment in Covent Garden.

For a bit more colour, go flouro bright. Decorate a faux white tree with a mix of pink, lime and aqua for a fun festive look. You can then choose bold co-ordinating paper and ribbons to wrap that mountain of presents underneath. Try Paperchase for a great selection.
The retro look is also making a comeback, look out for fun Santa and snowmen decorations or dig out those garish 70’s baubles to add a bit of vintage flair to your tree.
The Table:
Impress your guests with these easy ideas
Plant a mini forest; a low galvanized planter filled with tiny fir trees creates a real show stopper, add a sprinkling of fake snow for the perfect finish.
For the ultimate evening sparkle, place a mix of vintage silver candlesticks on mirrored tiles or charger plates down the centre of the table, beautifully magical.
Art Deco Mirrored Charger, £35, Candle holders from £6, The White Company
A tradition of the Tavistock Bow Christmas is making our own crackers, you get to choose the perfect mini gift for each guest and wrap in gorgeous paper and ribbon from Liberty, but the best bit is making up the worst jokes to pop in! You can buy the bangers and hats from Amazon.co.uk
The cocktail:
A sophisticated tipple to help kick off the festive celebrations…
It was a favourite last year but most definitely still hot this year – The Twinkle! A perfect combination of prosecco, vodka, elderflower cordial and a twist of lemon – what’s not to love!
